A makeup artist on her journey to debt freedom!

It’s Pay Day!!!

I’m a little late on this post but wanted to make sure I got it out before my life starts to life. Grab you snack and something to drink and we’ll get started with what I plan on doing with my paycheck this lovely pay day.

As much as I’d hope to be below the $26k mark, I won’t make it in April but I will make it for May. It’s possible that I will make it below the $25k mark. I’ll queue a good happy dance if that happens.

I have a storage unit that I share with a friend. The longer you have these things, the more they cost. this is the reduced rate that I requested since their lowest unit was going for about $175 a month. They “met me in the middle” and we settled on $216.50 a month. My friend pays half. There were so many times I wanted to get rid of it but I can’t make sense of it and it’s been super helpful to have. If you get a storage unit, continue to work with them to lower the monthly payment. This payment goes up every 9 months. I’m hoping the next increase won’t be so high but I’ll keep track of what’s going on in the market.

My variable spending hasn’t changed much. My Savings and Sinking Funds are all set an have been transferred over.

As for my debt, one thing I haven’t mentioned is I take $100 from my HSA to pay towards Care Credit So the plan is to pay $554 towards it this pay period.

If you can’t tell…I spend a lot on debt every month. One day, that won’t be the case and I absolutely cannot wait. That’s all I have for now!

Pro-Makeup Artist Tip:

Avoid foundations with SPF in them if you’ll be taking photos. The titanium dioxide in SPF causes light to reflect on your skin and will cause a white cast over your face. Instead, use a moisturizer or SPF as part of your base to help protect your skin against sun.

Until Next Time!
