Budget Close Out – May Paycheck 1

It’s the eve of pay day which means it’s time to close out my budget.  I did a lot better than I anticipated regardless of unfore… or…unpaid attention too circumstances.  So!  You’re going to need a snack first and foremost, something to drink, and we’ll get started!

I would first like to show and then tell what happened for the past two weeks:

This pay period came out nice!  I got my final numbers for my bills.  Guardian my water bill came out lower than the budgeted amount as well as my phone bill which is typical for both.  As for my variable spending, I sent $13 to my Local Government account, spent $292.39 on food because I rolled some of my birthday purchases into this pay period.  I’m hoping it’s not this high this coming pay period because I will be taking a Lyft to and from work a couple of times.  I think I’ll count that as gas since I’m not doing anything with that category at this time.  I really miss driving…

Besides that, I stayed below budget in my Miscellaneous category with the total coming to $63.89.  While it doesn’t look like much, you’ll see next week how much I put towards debt with these ending totals.  I also added an extra $22 added to savings because of Ibotta rewards redemption and I also received an extra $13.07 and $13 of that will be going to debt today.  I’ll show how much I paid in next weeks Money Moves Monday. 😊

Keep in mind, this paycheck was lower than normal because of rewards redemptions at work.  Uncle Sam always wants his share, especially from us single people without kids.  I had no choice but to buy a house and start a business.  Sigh…

Pro-Makeup Artist Tip:

Speaking about getting robbed, have you ever put on your makeup beautifully and then halfway through the day or as early as a few hours later, your face is super…glossy?  It’s likely that you’re either combination skin or oily skin and I feel your pain.  You know those cute blotting strips? Chuck them.  They work but so does a lint-free tissue and you don’t have to buy anything extra to make it happen.  When you do try it be sure to blot your face to capture the oil, do not rub your face.  Even with a great setting spray there will be a transfer of foundation so don’t be alarmed. 😊

That’s all I have for now!  Be sure to like, comment, and subscribe to receive notifications about new posts.

Until next time!
