A makeup artist on her journey to debt freedom!

Money Money Moves – May Week 3

This week was an interesting one.  I’m trying to wean off my boot.  My doctor made it seem like it was super easy…well…it’s not.  First day I tried my foot turned cold, second day, I had to go right back in to boot because it hurt like when I first broke it.  The third day, the pain kicked in once more and the boot went back on.  The forth day, things were going great until I washed my hair and it swelled like a balloon.  Puffy foot equals no good.  Any who!  Now that you all know about what’s going on with my foot yay…it’s time to grab a snack and something to drink and we’ll get started!

The personal loan is still taking all my left over cash, but!  I did have a car payment sprinkled in:

The car payment was placed on hold until this week’s 3M (Money Moves Monday = 3M).  I needed the amount applied to principal which I officially have now.  😊

And now, on to how much I owe all together:

I am inches from being below $25k!  I’ll hit it before the week is done!

I keep going back and forth about my car.  Part of me wants to finish it up at the 66-month term which ends September 2025 because then my debt-free journey technically will end a little sooner.  I can start saving right away and the payment is only $221.24.  The other part of me wants to finish it up asap because that means no more payments and the remaining balance by May 2024 will be roughly $3,500.  I think I’m just gung ho about focusing on saving that I’m willing to cut a few considerable corners.  It does help that my car’s value is higher than the balance of the loan.  I know I’m thinking about this now, but I’ll make a final decision later more than likely in 2024.

So hang tight and I’ll keep this tennis match up until 2024.

Pro-Makeup Artist/Licensed Esthetician Tip:

When we think of our budget and considering all the changes we make, consider the changes in your skin.  It’s perfectly normal to experience some dryness in the skin of your face, especially around cooler months.  If the dryness is patchy and not easily remedied, it’s time to talk to your PCP and possibly a dermatologist.  It’s very likely this is caused by eczema and usually medical intervention is needed to get things under control.  This is the best way to clear things up relatively quickly.

That’s all I have for today!  Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to see more content from me.

Until Next Time!
