Hi, hello, how are you? 😊 It’s been a long-time right? One week and 2 days since my last post. I haven’t disappeared but I got a little lazy/busy this weekend. When I had the chance to make my post for Monday, I got to hang out and relax from my fun exciting week. If I went to sleep early enough, I would’ve said I slept in but alas…that didn’t happen. I stayed up late and woke up even later. I napped a bit…completed a k-drama (not even my thing) and…I drove a bit! Having a broke foot is still on my sh*t list and it hurts but I’m almost well enough to feel comfortable driving regularly with the exception of the persistent foot pain. I’m hopeful it’ll be gone soon. Now that we’ve got that out of the way…let’s dig into this meat and potatoes I’ve prepared for the day. And as we all know, we need a snack and something to drink while I give you food for thought. LOL! I’m so cheesy…let’s get started!
This one is going to be a twofer because I’m so late posting so hang in there. To show the payments I’ve made last week:

And my current debt totals:

Nothing huge but still A LOT happened…particularly because…I’M BELOW $25K!!!! This is a first for me, yay!!! Whoop whoop!!! We’re moving along even though I’m still celebrating in my mind.
Yesterday, I closed out my budget for my second paycheck in May because I did get paid today. I’ll share that update tomorrow. I’m making these arrangements now since I wasn’t on my A-game this week.
This is how my conclusion to my budget ended up:

I’m very happy with the progress and had a very good outcome for how much went towards debt. Those debt numbers will be posted next Money Moves Monday and I’ll actually be on it this time.
With this month ending, I’d also like to share some great news! It’s all starting to become real but I made a major purchase in February that I paid from my savings. I didn’t want to share this until the date had arrived but we’re roughly 2 weeks or in my world one paycheck away from my newest journey.
The purchase was to obtain my financial counseling certification so I can be an official professional with money. I work for a credit union and they have a lower-cost training which I have been considering for a few years now. Last year didn’t make sense because the class was happening around a time when a lot was happening for me. My grandmother passed away, my mom had a heart attack right before my nana’s memorial service, and I had surgery which took me out of work for two weeks and I didn’t have time available to get paid for a full 2-weeks of pay. So…here we are and 2023 makes way more sense. Please know I plan on complaining about the time-suck this will likely be and sharing what I know.
Once I’m certified, I’ll be posting more options for those of my readers who would like a confidential consultation.
Should I ever go missing again, check out the rest of my posts by searching for the category of each post according to the topic you prefer. I have worked really hard the past few months to build up several articles for all of you to view, enjoy, and most importantly, learn from. The Financial Education category is one of my favorite and here’s one that I put together about when an Emergency occurs and some tips on how to handle it.
Pro-Makeup Artist Tip:
Just like finances, makeup needs instruction and practice. I know I typically offer a little tip but I want you all to know that the only way you can get better with any of these tips I suggest whether financial or for your face, is to give it a try. Practice really makes perfect. There was a point in my life that I was pure trash at giving myself a smokey eye and I had no idea how to fix a certain aspect that I didn’t like about my makeup like when my eye makeup wouldn’t stay. But I researched, played around, tried different products, different techniques, and I eventually became a makeup artist. It’s never to late for you. 😊
That’s all I have for today! Don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe to see more content from me and to share my page with someone who you think may benefit from the makeup tips or financial advice.
Also, hello and welcome to all my new subscribers and readers! Once I hit 100 subscribers, I’ll post a giveaway to continue to show my appreciation.
Until Next Time!
