A makeup artist on her journey to debt freedom!

Money Moves Monday…On Wednesday – August Week 4

Don’t you hate it when you go on PTO and you don’t have a lot scheduled and your schedule fills up?  Well that’s me…LOL!!!  I have had quite the week since my last post.  Each day of my time off has been filled with spending time with friends except today…I don’t want to do crap today.  Including the errands I had schedule that includes a few returns and a trip to Home Depot to start picking out new wall colors for my guest bedroom.  God bless the person who lived here who had a real thing for earth tones.  I absolutely despise beige, but my house is primarily brown and shades of beige.  I’ve already changed my bedroom which was a dark version of kelly green, and both of my bathrooms to calmer colors. The master was beige (blech) an the guest was lemon yellow to the point it hurt my eyes. The new colors accommodate the lack of sunlight I get.  Now, over a year and a half later, I want to change the colors for EVERYTHING starting with the bedrooms again and begin to get this disgusting carpet ripped up.  Most importantly, I want to make everything one consistent color which it is not.  More on that later because it’s something that’s going to cost me but it’s also a plan I had put in motion to execute around my debt free date…which was postponed…yay.  Enough with the blabbering,  lets get into what my numbers were looking like for this 4th week of August!  Get yourself a snack and a nice cooling beverage because it’s still crazy hot in NC and we’ll get started!

These are the entries for this week’s, 3M:

This week was a pay week and I paid a total of $44 from the remainder of my budget and then I paid a nice healthy portion of $363 towards my Shop Your Way credit card.

Let’s see what direction my debt went in:

Still not too bad!  Considering all that I’ve been through in 2023, I’m not terribly upset with the progress I’ve made after hitting the reset button. Check this 3M post to see last weeks progress as a comparison.  I will be purposefully adding more debt on to handle the home improvements but I’ll get it wiped out in the middle of it all.  I might show the work done…who knows!

Pro-Makeup Artist Tip:

Summer is about to make its grand exit which means…fall colors! I don’t know about you all, I love a smoldering eye and a bold dark lip.  This is the only reason I like the fall.  Everyone should try a red lip because you never know how great it looks.  When choosing your shades, visit Sephora or Ulta for sampling colors and don’t forget to try inexpensive places like Walmart, Target, or a neighborhood beauty supply store to find thee proper shade of reds whether your choice is a deeper red like a wine red or a cherry apple red.  Enjoy the transition to the fall!

That’s all I have for today!  Don’t forget to like, comment, subscribe to see more content from me and to share my page with someone who you think may benefit from the makeup tips or financial advice.

Until Next Time!
